3M ESPE recently has brought a new polishing kit designed to bring a high luster to your CAD/CAM restoration. It has been optimized for the Lava Ultimate material.

There are 4 steps:

1- A pre-polishing wheel designed to be used at 10,000 rpm. This is used to remove the coarse mill marks present on the restoration that we see when we remove them from the milling chamber.

2- Diashine fine paste designed to be applied with a soft bristle brush at 8000-10,000 rpm. With the brush turning, pick up the Diashine polishing paste. The brush is worked over the entire surface of the restoration until a luster begins to form.

3- Diashine super fine paste is designed to be applied with a soft bristle brush at 6000-8000 rpm. With the brush turning, pick up the Diashine polishing paste. The brush is worked over the entire surface of the restoration until a high luster begins to form.

4 Dry soft bristle brush. The brush is worked over the entire surface of the restoration at 10,000 rpm.

The simple process works really well for the Lava Ultimate restoration. It is a quick, efficient process to finish the restoration.
