Using the Scale Tool for Intersecting Connector Symmetry

As bridges become more common in our daily practices, we continue to look for ways to be more efficient with the design phase.  One way I have found is to use the scale tool to finish the pontic. To activate the scale tool, click on the move tab in the tool wheel, right click on scale to activate.  Move your cursor into position over the proposal.  As you navigate over the proposal you will notice certain areas of the proposal turning orange (activating).  You will have the option to enlarge or reduce mesial/distally, buccal/lingually, or full scale depending on your needs.  Once you choose the area you want to affect, press and hold the left mouse button and move the roller ball up or down to enlarge or reduce as needed.  This simple tool will allow you the ability to symmetrically enlarge or reduce your pontic to achieve the desired connector size (16 sq. mm).
