Cleaning Interproximally After Seating of CEREC Restoration
For those that know me, you know how much I love to use the soft picks from the Sunstar company to clean out interproximal cement when placing my CEREC restorations. For those that didn't know, now you do! I use them every single time after I allow the cement to get to gel phase and push the soft pick through the interproximal areas to dislodge as much of the cement as I can. It works phenomenally well and then I just need a scaler to remove the loose pieces before the final cure. I'm excited that they just released a newer version of the soft pick and it is 25% wider. I pretty much use these exclusively now. If you have not seen what these look like, here is a photo of the packaging and also a comparison of the older version (the green) to the newer version( the blue). If you are not using these to facilitate cement clean up, you need to try one ASAP. They rock!!
I love these for cement clean up. The only problem we face is that our hygienists always take them.

I also microbrush the contact with Vaseline, which weighs well.
