Lava Ultimate is proving to be a great restorative material. It mills precisely and no oven time is required. So speed, precision and efficiency are its strong points. While we are still cautiously testing the waters, we are beginning to see restorations on recall that are functioning very nicely.

From time to time, many dentists find the need and desire to try to help out our patients who are financially burdened. In this tough economic environment many patients are opting for extractions over extensive restorations. With the decreased chair time that Lava Ultimate affords us, we do have the option to restore either pro bono or at a greatly reduced fee.

Many of us are charging our direct resin fees for a large Lava Ultimate onlay or even the extraction fee that the patient would have paid, yet they keep their tooth.

Helping out the community any way we can is very fulfilling and a way of giving back.
